Pennhills Resources

Established in 2009, Pennhills Resources is a privately held vertically integrated independent exploration and production (E&P) operating company with operations in Pennsylvania and New York.

Our company’s primary objective is to responsibly acquire, lease, explore, and produce oil and gas wells (Conventional and Unconventional) in areas of proven production using the latest technology. Pennhills is opportunistic with a focus on the Appalachian region and continuously looks to expand our operating footprint with high quality assets including our midstream assets as well as our leasehold position.

Northern Pipeline Company, LLC

Northern Pipeline Company, LLC (NPL) is a private midstream operating company formed in 1996 from assets purchased from the National Transit Company, assets dating back to the late 1800s that were a part of John D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil Trust. Today, Northern Pipeline Company operates over 250 miles of gathering lines and supports over 50 different producers throughout Northwest Pennsylvania and Southern Tier New York. Northern Pipeline Company is jointly owned by Pennhills Resources, LLC and Vineyard Oil and Gas Company.

Pennhills Gas Processing

Pennhills Gas Processing (PGP) is a private natural gas processing downstream business formed in 2018 in partnership with Oklahoma-based Elkhorn Gas Processing. PGP facilities is located in Lewis Run, Pennsylvania prides itself Our unique approach to facilities design, unsurpassed operational reliability and familiarity with extracting maximum liquids value translates into the best producer net-backs in the basin. We’re proud of our team and first-class infrastructure surrounding the Allegheny National Forest of Northwest Pennsylvania.

Elkhorn Appalachian operations are supported by a multi-disciplined team of business, engineering and regulatory professionals familiar with years of experience in the basin. This elite team of individuals has managed Elkhorn operations through several industry cycles and knows the value of keeping overhead costs low, supporting producer operations and exceeding customer expectations.

Sterling Energy Service

Sterling Energy Service, formed in 2023 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Pennhills Resources to manage the heavy equipment, well servicing and completion operations for Pennhills Resources.

TimberX

TimberX, formed in 2025 is a subsidiary of Pennhills Resources formed to manage the family’s timber holdings.

TimberX plans to increase its timberland position to 15,000 acres by 2035.
